Something wrong with my DC...

I bought a lot of games lately. 5 of those games don't work at all. I mean: after the SEGA logo appears the system resets and loads it again but then resets once again...

Btw, my DC also has another problem (pretty rare though): when I put the CD in it doesn't load it. I try several times and then it loads...

Any clue? :(

Either its the lens or maybe the defected discs.I had some problem with the sonic adventure 2 disc before when i first booted up the game.I changed my old copy of SA2 with the newer one and it loads perfectly.

I thought about defected discs too. The system does read all the other games. :(

Some DC's are just plain arse when it comes to reading discs. I Bought a brand new Powerstone 2, tried it on my DC and it wouldn't work. I then take it round my friends house whose DC is only a couple of months older than mine and it boots up fine.

just remembered, i also have 'Headhunter' which played fine on my DC all the way through, and when i lent it to the same friend asabove, it wouldn't work on his at all. Same problem, Sega comes up, screen goes white , then it goes back to the 'empty disc' screen. There's no cure, unfortunately. UNLESS you have a boot CD. some games that won't run as standard will run ok as long as you run them through utopia or DC-x or something. Yes it hassle but still cheaper than buying a new DC. although , with DC prices now, don't hold me to that'

same problems here, when my DC wouldn't load i took it apart and looked at the motor. turns out the lens got stuck on something and i could tell the spring looked abnormal. so i ran the lens up then back down the rail its on then started her up, games have had no trouble since then, and i have to do this about every 8 months. i dont recomend this but it works for me.

I had the same problem. I went to Electronics Botique to get a new(used) one and they were running a deal where if you buy 4 12 dollar games, and 2 10 dollar accessories you get a free DC. I thought that wasnt a bad deal. Then I sold my other one on ebay as broken and not working and still got like 15 bucks out of it.

Just clean the whole unit (including the lense) very thoroughly. If it doesn't work afterwards, exchange it.
