I mean, look at their flagship launch game, Luigi's mansion, hardly broke 500K, right - definitely didn't go platinum, even though it was fun and all. It's nintendo's damn fault that no one can make a shitload of cash off their system. It's like making Neverwinter nights on the PC - even if it's a great game, no one will know because no one wants to play games on their pc (at least I don't, because last I tried (black and white), PC games royally fuck up a PC with bugs and other goodies). A game like Conker's Bad Fur Day for example, may be excellent, and really ground breaking, but no one really knew about it because it was on the wrong system.
So yeah, it's Nintendo's fault if a company like Rare, that busts its ass to make a great game, cannot make a big enough profit.</strong><hr></blockquote>
It is Nintendo's fault and their response is simply damage control for them to make it appear to the public that this wasn't completely their fault. I'm sure RARE will issue a statement detailing what went wrong in their relationship with Nintendo shortly...
