I'm thinking of buying this game, but I was wanting to get some opinions on it first. How does this game compare to other shooters out there?

Also, should I import it for the DC, or try to track down a copy for the PS2 (which is harder than I thought it would be).

Buy it.

I'd get it on DC, cause its a Sega game. Some folk will tell you its graphically better on the PS2 though.

You should deffo buy it however, its one of a kind.

How much does the U.S. version on the PS2 usually go for these days? I usually prefer to get the U.S. version of a game if possible. The only reason I was thinking of the DC version really is because I can't find the PS2 version anywhere. But, maybe modding my DC is a good idea, so I can also play KOF 2k2. Hmm...

The US version of Rez can be tricky to find new or used in regular stores. I have spotted copies (brand new) at a Toys R Us for $19.99, but probably because there are too many dumbass gamers in this town to know what they are missing.

I was hoping I would find it in the bargain bin at Wal-Mart, but alas, nothing. I checked Toys 'r Us's website, and it said the game had been discontinued. :(

I guess the import might be my only hope...

You'll definitely have a job finding this game in a store nowadays. It's deceptively easy at first, but to really get the most enjoyment out of the game, you have to become a genius at it. A healthy liking for electronic music also helps.

I am sitting at 90% or so complete on the DC version of Rez.... from what I have heard, the PS2 game has even more stuff to unlock... if that is true... Holy crap. One of the best and most addictive games ever, I will play the unlocked modes (the ones where you play all the way through straight) one after another until my hands were aching... I can beat the game now a days with only taking maybe one or two hits... The last boss seldom gets a hit in these days (actually he is quite easy and usually finish it on final form unless I miss a god damn missle :)

Anyway... if the PS2 game is as good as the DC one, and I have heard it is... buy it! Great game!

You must get this game, there is nothing else like it out there on the market,a masterpiece. Many complain saying its too short, but do they try to unlock stuff or replay thought it,it's also more of a experience than a game, too magical for retards to understand. Also i have still yet to get high while playing this game lol.

But depends what version you get,i would get the DC,because of the VGA picture, but the PS2 one has extras i hear, shame i havn't played it yet.
