I bought it at funco for 3 bucks or thereabouts, just cause I never actually got to try it out back when it's muched hyped debut happened (And failed miserably).

Has anyone actually 'gotten into' Weaponlord? I mean, I find the gameplay slow and unresponsive, but there's something about the bad, American-designed characters and theme that make me want to give it a chance.

I mean, the whole play scheme seems way off, unresponsive and kind of ill-thought out.

But, is it even worth me printing out a movelist and starting to try and plod through it? Or should I just walk away before I waste my valuable neurons on it?

Don't waste your time with it! You get it back.
On other words, wasn't this the game designed by an ex-street fighter tourney champ?

i liked it, my favorite character was korr. but i remember i got a poster for the game when it was first previewed in nintendo power magazine and i hung it on my wall. then my mom was all in a dither about the cleavage bearing girl with the blonde hair and the big sword pictured on it, what was her name? i don't remember, but i do remember my mom almost making me take it down.

I remember when Gamepro had a cover feature on the game, and basiclaly hyped the shit out of it, giving the impression that it was about to destroy everything else.

Whoops.

I have fond memories of the game. The problem is that now when I go back to play it, I have a hard time enjoying it.

By today's standards, the animation is choppy. The graphics look nice, as long as they aren't moving.

Being able to decapitate, then eviscerate then pulp your enemies was a lot of fun.

The other problem was that no matter what level difficulty you played, it was tough as month old white dog shit.

If you don't like it, don't play it. If you think you could enjoy it, keeping trying it. I recommend leaving it alone though. It's one of those games I'd rather have fond memories of than go back and play it just to find out how bad it really is.

i had both the SNES and Genesis versions of that game. The SNES one had better color but I thought the SEGA one played better. I wish we could get a nice GG style sequel to that. I love barbarian stuff. buttrock

IT is a very technical fighter, and hard to play... I never got into it.
