Hello!

I hope you all can be of help to me in my quest to own an AES cart system. I just need some answers to some questions.

OK, where is the best place to buy an AES system? Who will give me the best deal and has fairly good service?

What kind of cable hook-ups come with an AES? What I need is the standard A/V cables that come with all the current systems like PS2, Xbox, Dreamcast, GameCube...Can I get A NEO GEO with these kinds of cables? I can't really use an RF adapter anymore...What are my options?

I hope you can help me out!

Thanks.

Ah, welcome! Milwaukee? Heck, I'm only a few hours away from ya! I live in Rockford, IL. If you ever need to check out Neo for yourself, and this goes for anyone near me, you're more than welcome to stop by and see it!

Ouch, anyhow. The best place to buy an AES is pretty much right here from us! Cable hook ups for the AES are either the RF adapter or the Sega Genesis 1 style hook up RCAs. The RCA is only video and one mono.

There are systems that are being sold that have Stereo mods on the back, as well as an S-video modification. If you buy one without it, you can get it done as cheap as around $50 now!

You can also get stereo sound from the front, like the first model Genesis, too. This doesn't quite sound as good as the mod, however.

When people sell the Neo Geo, it will come with some kind of hook ups to be sure. So don't worry about that!

Welcome, once again.

Hiya!

Thanks for the reply! Well, it sounds like there are several ways for the NEO GEO to work. I'm sure there is a way on my TV, right?

I only have the Audio and Video slots on my TV set. The yellow and white slots. I don't have the red one unfortunatly. I think I can hook up the NEO GEO with an RF unit, but I can't be positve. I have my cable hook-up in the back(I know, I don't know anything about this technical stuff!), but there is a way to hook up my cable TV and my future NEO GEO? If I remember, I had my SEGA Saturn hooked up the same way...

I'd like to take you up on that offer to have a look at your NEO GEO sometime. Just send me an e-mail(I have it listed here) and I'll see when i can make it. Maybe you can drive back to Milwaukee and hook it up for me!

How much are you asking for an AES? Possibly Metal Slug 3, Sengoku 3, King of Fighters 2000?

Thanks.

Brad

If anyone here has a Japanese system in very good shape for sale, please let Brad know! He's looking to get one soon, and I'm afraid I don't have anything beyond my own right now. Thanks all.

Whoa!

It looks like they still have that NEO GEO in stock at that link for the "Video Game Depot"! Is that a good deal? It has 2 of the games I want. Let me know is $785 is a good deal for one used AES, two controllers, Metal Slug 3 NEW and KoF2000 NEW. You guys are the experts here. Should I get it?

Thanks.

Yes. The games alone are worth more than $500. A full system with 2 controllers and the games at $785 is a good deal.

If I didn't have a system, I'd have picked it up a long time ago. Go for it! (unless Spike Spiegel makes a better offer).
