Hey all. I have been getting some offers on some of the rarer carts I need. One such was a private e-mail to me by Chris R. His e-mail address is ChrisR@neogeofreak.com. I have heard bad things about neogeofreak, and I was unsure because he said he had every game in my list, and wouldn't take pictures until I made an offer first, which I don't do at all. In any event, he said to ask Joe McCabe on here, so that's why I am doing, plus any other references or feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks yall

I would rather club baby seals than deal with ChrisR.

On a side note, I thought he had gotten rid of all of his Neo stuff because he was leaving the 'scene.' Guess we can just add that lie to his 100 others, huh? smirk

Joshua Clifton. The deal I had with him worked out eventually, and in my opinion, he gets a point for improvisation in using a Diet Pepsi 24-pack container for shipping. wink

I've never dealt with Chris Ray, but from what I've heard in the past, he's a far better guy than Dion. Not that I'd recommend him. Can't exactly look past that he was one half of NGF.

Before signing up for these forums, you should have to read the history of NGF as part of a user Agreement.

OR...IMPLEMENT THE FUCKING 'archives' Forum I asked about a HUNDRED times so people could EASILY browse through classic, important, informative threads.

I've done plenty of deals with Chris and they all went as smooth as can be.

Chris is a stand up guy and I'm sure he won't let you down if you decide to buy from him.

I know a lot of people here won't like me sticking up for him, but he's done no wrong by me and has always been really helpful in the past. i know a lot of members here have had many succesful transactions with him, but probably won't come forward because of Chris's links to NGF.

If you're unsure use paypal to pay for your items. You at least have some insurance then if your deal goes tits up.

Not in all cases. I paid someone on this board over $200 and when the deal went south I contacted PayPal's complaint department and received a refund... of $0.18.

PayPal is great, as long as people never get scammed apparently. oh_no

Anyone who asks for a transaction like that is not to be trusted.

He only wants to sell as high as possible, tailored to what he percieves to be your "desperation"

A normal, reliable seller will use pictures and a set price.

Look out.

I think the problem I had was that I paid via bank transfer as opposed to credit card.

The thing is, a lot of sellers (including my seller in question) nowadays won't accept PayPal payments unless they're via a bank transfer (presumably since credit cards are very easy to do chargebacks with).
