So who's got an aquarium here? I've got a 34 gal Tall hex freshwater aquarium with 5 medium size fish.

And I'm thinking about starting up a 60+ gal Saltwater setup.

Anybody here into/have experience with Aquarium setups?

I miss my fish....

on the other hand, I don't know if I really want to experience the responsibility, or I just need a smaller tank.

I had 3 Neons, 3 Betas, and 2 Clown Loaches. The Clown loaches are the funniest to look at, they're cute as hell, but they're a BITCH to catch when you try to take the fish out of the aquarium! When trying to avoid my net, them lil critters swim blazing fast!!

That was me , tank is still in storage but I may be buying a house soon and it will be going back up as somewhat of a reef tank. Some liverock and probably around 30 or so Damsels and maybe some calerpa if I can get it to grow ?

here is a link to a couple of the "Elvis" pics.

You can do saltwater in any size aquarium but always remember that the smaller the tank is the less room you have for error when it comes to things like salinity and PH balance, of course all this depends on the type of fish you get too.

30 gallon tanks are a good start for a few smaller salt water fish until you really get into it , contrary to popular belief salt is just as easy to maintain as fresh is but it definitly comes with a higher price than fresh does , the real key is good filtration ,definitly buy the best you can get youre hands on it will make up for it droves down the road.

check out this forum it has lots of info from nano reef tanks (30 gallons and under) to fish only and predator tanks. I am sure you are going to go to that site and get all the info you need but here is some more.

Make sure to cycle your tank all the way. If it takes a month then thats how long you have to wait
Only get one fish at a time and wait for a week or so to get another. That way your filter can grow the bacteria it needs to handle the additional bioload
