I haven't played a soccer video game since I bought International Superstar Soccer 64 on the N64, long time ago. I'm sure times have changed to allow soccer games to get better, but I want to know which is the best, in your opinions, on any system (I'd really doubt Ultimate 11 to be on the best soccer list )

Ultimate 11 is the best soccer game in my book. All the 3-D ones suck, Maybe Virtua Striker 2002 will be better.

Prime Goal 2 and 3 on SFC are pretty good also for old school games.

Nekketsu Soccer League (world cup soccer 2). Lots of beating the crap out of people... great game.

International Superstar Soccer and ISS Deluxe for the Super Nintendo. Released in English for the South American market.

Picked up my copy in Brazil in 95 and it is one of my most treasured games: great control and realistic graphics.

This is easy,

The best : Winning Eleven (there are like 5-7 WE games) series on PSX

Runner Up: International Super Star Soccer (1 and Deluxe) on SFC

They both made by Konami

My favourite Soccer games are the Kick Off series (arcade), Super Sidekicks (first part, Neo), Soccer Brawl (Neo) and Microprose Soccer (Amiga).

I never liked 3D soccer games, not because of 3D, but because of the simulation character of them. If I *had* to choose, I'd take the Fifa series on PSX.

Super Sidekicks 1 and 2 were great for arcade soccer. ISS for the N64 is probably one of the best even to date, after that I haven't played any that have really kept my attention.

I would stay away from Ultimate 11, its more about pretty graphics than gameplay. I sold mine quick when I figured that out.

What about the soccer competition mini-games of Sports Jam on the DC? Those were pretty tight.

Taito's Hat Trick Hero S is the best one IMO.

It's on the JPN Sega Saturn and also the Taito F3. The continue countdown is pretty hilarious- you see your "Ace" player pleading with you to continue. You can even hopkick other players- but just be sure the ref doesn't see it. There are even power ups like the Super Shot which crushes the goalie's guard and sends him flying back into the net with the ball.
