Alright, I've already read about this system in the 90s, but was a little too risque for me at the time. I'm thinking about picking up one sometime in the near future, but have practically no knowledge on the system. Here's some questions..

What all machines came out under this name? I know there's Turbo Duo, and GT or something.. and PC Engine is the same thing? Which name did it come out under in America? What are the differences between the systems? What exactly are hu cards and what do they do? Does this system have regional lockout? Also, does anybody have a picture of this, or any of these systems? I'm also interested in seeing what the controller looks like.

If somebody can hook me up with some answers I'll shoot a whole dollar your way (paid via Pay Pal). Thanks ;)

PC engine: Japanese Turbografx. Plays Jap Hucards.

Turbo Duo: US and Jap models. Plays CD's and HuCards. Will play both region CD's, but only US HuCards work in the US model and vice versa.

TG16: The US model. Only plays US Hucards.

The GT is the portable TG16 if I'm not mistaken.

HuCards are like carts, but they are the size of credit cards, and are nearly as slim.

I'd say check ebay for pics... they should have a bunch of each.

So the PC Engine/TurboGrafx only plays hu cards, no cds? Do some games require a hu card to play with a cd? Is the Duo faster than the other counterparts or something?

Sorry for sounding like an idiot, I just want to get everything squared away in my head.

pcenginefx.com is a large NEC user base.

I prefer it to others for sure.
