The japanese release date for Legend of Zelda has been set, folks!

It's gonna be December 13th...

let's hope the U.S. one will follow shortly... :)

A while ago I could have cared less about this new Zelda game and the new Metroid one.

But after being pleasantly surprised with Super Mario Sunshine, I am starting to get excited about these new takes on the old franchises. Perhaps a breath of fresh air will do Link some good.

Companies should stop making new games altogether. They shouldn't even try to be innovative with their releases. Just because we have more powerful systems doesn't mean we should try to take gaming to the next level (screw 3d, cell shading, and anything else new they can think of). Nintendo should just keep making more and more powerful systems, and just release their games from 10 years ago on it.

Hmmm....I would like to think Nintendo will get the Zelda game out before Christmas in the US. It'll sell a shitload of copies, thats for sure. I would definitely like to spend Christmas playing Zelda and the Neo Geo. :)

It's really a shame, my friend, since from the early playtest at the E3 it seemed amazing...

You will all eat your words! Cel shading is sweet, yes it is strange to see it on Link but Nintendo will not fuck this one up. Actually I would have thought more people here whould like a cel shaded game more than a 3rd person 3d one due to our 2d love...

I don't like the kiddie aspect of the game. I mean Miyamoto could keep an adult Link like in the first trial when he was fighting against Ganondorf.

I'm maybe getting to old, who knows. anyway, even if Miyamoto saying that feeling and playability is more important than aspect, I prefer a real 3D engine... :(

Who cares about cel shading? I thought that most people here were serious games fans, why should we be bothered with a change in graphical style?

Seems like a lot of people here are total hypocrites when it comes to new games....

In fact, they could package up some dried animal droppings (animal of your choice), slap the old "N" logo on it, and you'd be thrilled, wouldn't you buster? ;) :p

I have to agree. If you have seen the game in motion you might change your mind. Cell shading makes some game look really sweet. I mean take a game like Robotech. That would just not be right with out cell shading. And according to may sources Nintendo has done the best with the cell shading technology.
Everyone critisiced the new Zelda when all they had was pictures. I don't belive you can even say that a game truly sucks untill you spend some time with it. I personally think that GCN Zelda is going to kick ass out of Zelda 64 and Majora's Mask, doubful that it will beat Link to the Past though.

Cell shading or not, I bet the new Zelda is going to have superb gameplay - and that's what counts (and what Nintendo stands for)

Did you ask that question when OOT came out? Since that when the graphical style changed, and link was allowed to turn into a wimpy teenage (reffered to as adult link).

The new style feels back to the roots IMO. And thats a very godd thing (as i think the both games on N64 is pretty bad)

I just love that graphical technic (AutoModellista rulez)
