Seriously, I'm so spoiled now, I've been buying DC games since early 2001, but with main retail stores cutting prices on the games ($5 to $15) in the last couple months, I've been on a buying frenzy, not because I need to play all right away, but certain games simply need to be bought now before they're gone on the shelf.

I've been doing that too, Vince. DC games are being blown out all over cheap, so I'm stocking up before (as you mentioned) they disappear from retail channels. Once they're off the retail market, Ebay will be a big source and I hate how prices get jacked up there. As an example, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 routinely sells for $50 or more on Ebay, and is characterized as "rare" . . . well, it IS gone totally from retail channels, but rare? Nah, I don't think so . . . but other games are starting to ramp up in price too! Like Gauntlet Legends, Hydro Thunder, Power Stone 2 (even though the Capcom store still has it), and others. I've also picked up extras of some games, for trading later . . . and of course extra systems too!!

Neither do I, such as most of the M rated games as well as Sega's sports (NFL, NBA) series that get yearly rehash plus most of the M rated games, they just aren't my taste of entertainment, as well as older ports such as Tomb Raider. I only collect what I really want, like most of the 2D fighters on it, Sega's non sports games, etc.

Just picked up Quake III and Typing of the dead $10 each.

Got most of them - just waiting for the $30 games to drop.

Heh, I have been looking around for good buys myself, and yesterday I found a little display with the remains of Dreamcast merchandise, they had a few games, for the low, low clearance price of... $39.99. The best catch I have seen yet is a new console for $59.99.

Well I was stocking up on games for a while, but lately I haven't been (been buying other stuff) I really should though if I had any common sense...

By the way, Liquid Snake, how come you only collect Japanese Dreamcast games?

Personal preference.

I got rid of US Saturn collection during summer this year and I'll do the same thing to my US SNES, Genesis (I've already started doing so) and my other collections.

I love Japanese cover art, color manual (Mega Drive, PC Engine, Mega CD, for instance), uncensored content (Castlevania IV, Splatterhouse, for instance), music (JPN Strider has additional tracks not found in US), etc.

I pretty much have what I want from the DC already (take a look at my collection page and you'll see why). Only things I'd eventually want somewhere down the line are to mod it and to get me a copy of GGX and maybe CvS 2. Only reasons I bought DC were the fighting games and the fact that I just had to play Resident Evil CV.

Me as well. the only ones I have been avoiding are the fishing titles, Not really a big fan of fishing on my tv, but man there are a ton of them out there. Picked up a few of the Euro only, and japan only titles as well. Of course working at BB weekends helps out a bit on the US stuff since I can see what we get in new and when it drops.

so do you think the games that were in development will start poping up. I am still wondering if space channel 5 part 2 will make it out. Lucky to get headhunter and Shemue 2 english.

Yes, I've been doing the same.

I think the DC will be just like the Saturn.

If you don't get what you want now for cheap, you will be hunting everything down in the future, at higher prices, on ebay.
