What Neo fighters do you think, have the best endings?

I say:

1. Shin Samurai Spirits
2. Last Blade
3. Last Blade 2
4. Mark Of the Wolves


All of the endings in these games leave me with a sense of fullfillment, continuity, and satasfaction. LB, LB2, and MOTW have especially nice endings, due to the great art in the cut, and ending scenes, while SS2 adds depth and Emotion to the continuing Samurai Spirits saga.

um...
i hate to admit this but the few games i ever
beat are the kofs.
i think i beat ss4 with gaira once but it was
dam hard...
but out of the kofs i liked 97s ending with
kyo, iori, and chizura; it ended the orochi
saga quite appropriately.
i also like 96s ikaris ending.
it just makes me feel all warm and happy inside.

well the 4 you mentioned I agree with but I would also like to ad

Aerofighters 2

The game not only had endings for each character but for each 2 player combination. I rember playing hours then hitting the 2 player button just to get the 2nd player in to get a different ending. They were not really well rendered or anything special but some of them were pretty funny.

i guess it is not really a fighter either <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0"> but thought it was worth mentioning.

Art of Fighting 2- Funniest endings (Ryo, Yuri, Temjin, Jack, and Lee especially).

Last Blade 1 and 2- Most beautiful endings, hands down.

King of Fighters '95- Psycho Soldiers team ending (CD version only).

King of Fighters '96- Either the Japan Heroes team (Kyo, Benimaru, Goro Daimon), or the God Calibur Team (Kyo, Iori, Chizuru) (only works on the CD version); best dying line by a boss character, and the best lead-up to the next game.

King of Fighters '97- See above. Either one seals up the Orochi saga nicely.

King of Fighters '98- The dream endings (personal favorites: The Teen Team [Shingo, Kensou, Chris], the #3s team [Joe, Yuri, Daimon], the Birthday Team [Shingo, Mature, King], and the Song of Fighters Team (Mai, Athena, Yuri]).

Samurai Shodown II- Saddest ending (Nakoruru's ending).

The only game i ever beat is nam75., (my first neo game ever)And damn that was a tough one.

I love the last blade series, but alas, i suck at fighters, and have yet to se the endings. Its still fun to get your opinions, anyway.

SS1 and SS2 both had great endings. Personalized for each character. (SS1 had completely different endings for different characters; Galford destroys Amakusa's orb, while Tam Tam takes it back to his village, etc.). That was also back before Hanzo became a complete joke; his endings were pretty good in both games.

MOTW's endings were great, but also somewhat poignant, since they pretty much all indicated that there would be a sequel, especially Rock's, Marco's, Kevin's, and Gato's. I personally hate Freeman, so I would've wanted to see Kevin nail his ass to a wall. Also, if you check the endings, you just know there would have been more cool characters in the sequel, like an old Yamazaki, a 30-year-old Andy, Gato's dad, and a 40-year-old Kim. Man, that would've been good.

Well, I think SS1 and KoF98 had the best endings...

But for the worst, Real Bout Fatal Fury Special and Samurai Shodown 3 & 4 definitely get the prize.

and some other badly translated gibberish that makes absolutely no sense

Mai: "Hey Andy, I've been looking for you."

To each his own. I loved RBS's endings and I didn't have a problem with SS III-IV endings either (A character specific picture with some text was pretty cool IMO.).

Yes; you are right; overall I liked all the SS saga endings...

LB has very neat art work and the develop of the endings where superb (AMANO!!!)

The endings from AoF 2 and World Heroes 2 where also extraordinary; mainly funny...

Ciber Lip has one of the best endings I have saw... well; is not that good, but I liked it...

And honorable mention to NES Ninja Gaiden games; more than the ending; it was the story...

OH MAN the RBS endings are soooo bad!! Kof97 is my favorite endings (yeah its been stated like 3 times before) but its so well done. The way the last stage progresses when you fight the evil new face team is extremely cool, then when Orochi comes, the first time I saw that I was so stoked!!

Hey, whats wrong with you guys??? Noone has mentioned Waku Waku 7 yet!!

Waku Waku 7 has my FAVE endings ever...they are funny, cute and look nice to boot. Woot!

Plus they have that cool pulp-fiction-a-like tune with a manga strip in the background when the creidts role. Not a boring moment, right up to the last piece of artwork. Brilliant.

for me it has to be Fatal fury MOTW and Fatal Fury 1 i love the atmosphere in it its so i dont know simple.
but ya KOF96 always gets to my heart :)
Last blade was amazing and last blade 2 just overshadowed that slightly.
i also liked Street Fighter 2 and 3 and alpha but i know they are not neo geo games :)

plus although they dont have depth i love the RB: Fatal fury 2 endings like mai's ending was so funny :)
