I'm having some video and controller problems with a 2-slot MVS that I bought.
I'm attempting to run the video signals from the JAMMA harness to a Sony PVM using Cat5 to BNC connectors. Some strange lines are traveling across the screen, and there seems to be a lot of ghosting as well. The RGBs and ground cables came attached to a 5 pin connector, which I then removed so as to plug them into the Cat5 adapters.
The controller ports are also behaving strangely, as sometimes when I press up on the joystick, the D and Start buttons are activated as well, according to the I/O test menu. I should note that the board was layered in dust when it arrived and has since been cleaned, though I may have skipped cleaning the controller ports given how small they are.
Still somewhat new to the MVS architecture, so any help is appreciated. Thank you.
