Howdy,

So I was planning on selling my PSP but went to power it on yesterday and though the sound and UMD appear to be working, the screen is totally black.

I haven't used the PSP in probably 2 years or so...its been awhile. I searched around online and tried the trick of holding the home button and L button while turning it on, but no luck.

Maybe the battery is dead? But I don't know since the green light comes on. I'll probably get a new battery and see if that does the trick...but any other suggestions?

What model is it? Is there any sound on boot up? Try pressing the rectangle button when it's powered on.

It's a 3000 model and yes there is sound when it boots. Will try that tonight, thanks!
