I have a MS2931 that on power on show me a blue screen (over driven I guess) and after about 1 min goes into shut down. I'm going to to do a cap kit on it. Other then that is there anything I should check?

Did a cap kit and it did not fix the problem. The only caps I didn't change are the 3 big filter cap and the 10uf bi polar. Any idea?

check the voltage regulators too. I have to replace a few with some positive results.

I have narrow it down to the neck board. I use one from a part chassis as it's up and running. Now I have to find which part on the old neck board is the problem.

Had some time to poke around on the old neckboard. It turn out to be a fault transistor that handle the blue chroma (q323)

Thanks for posting up regarding your findings.

That seems fairly common, I have a couple 2930s chasses that showed similar symptoms before I swapped in replacement neck boards.
