Don't u guys think so?

The story began in February 1996 when I first got my NeoCD bundled with KOF 95. Then, I got a joystick....my adaptor blew after a year and I got a new one for ~US$40.

I then went on with my NeoCd buying games for it like Sonic Wings 2 and 3, Samurai Shodown 3, Kabuki Klash, KOF 96, 97, Super Sidekicks 3... and stuff like that.
In total I've got around more then 30 games. Among those, I have around 5-6 pirated games like KOF 95, Nam 1945, Puzzle Booble and Real Bout FF which I got from a shop in my country of residence. The others are all original.

Then came 1998......I finally figured out that I can't tolerate the loading on KOF 97 anymore. Thus, I got a spanking cool NTSC Jap Cart system with a high serial no.200667. and a US version of KOF 98...

I was then having lotsa fun. Best point about it having no loading.

From then on, I became addicted to the neogeo craze and nurture myself from a neophyte into Benimaru's Hairdresser and on to KOF grandmaster....

I've 3 Memory Cards, 3 CD style Joysticks, 1 Original Joystick, One Control pad...

A US Cart system with serial no.066207,
A JAP Cart system with serial no.200667.
A Jap NeoCD.

Over 30+ NEOCD games and 27 Neogeo Cartridges.

MAN...U NEVER KNEW HOW MUCH TIME AND MONEY I'D SPENT GETTING THEM. I REALLY HOPE THAT I WILL NOT REGRET.

LONG LIVE THE NEO!

NeoGeo collecting (especially AES) is very expensive,
but soooo satisfying!
I just guess best things in life aren't cheap at all!

Dang.....Nam 1945? It must be a rare game.
That must be the famous Nam series (first is 1945 and then 1975)......

Since Nam75 is quite hard, then Nam45 must be really really hard.....

Just think of it this way. If you ever need to put a downpayment on a house you can just sell your collection....then again, who would ever do that <IMG SRC="smilies/loco.gif" border="0">

Hey:

Its all good, I have a girlfriend who actually PLANS our finances for the month around the games I want to buy, and she really wants us to buy an MVS. See, what every SNK freak needs is a girlfriend to move in with, that way you have more money to spend on Neo Geo games...hers!!!!

I'm down with that! Does she have any friends or sisters that think the same way?

Seriously though, it is an expensive, but very satisfying hobby.

I'm a rare case unlike some of you. I've had my Neo for 6 years. Got it EXPRESSLY for Samurai Shodown II, playing the hell out of it when I first got it, and then forgot about the Neo until I found DolphinLord's Yahoo club. Since then, I've more or less kept current on my Neo games since '99, and am buying games (slowly but surely) for it. I think in the next few months I will be adding another game to my collection, because the summer looks pretty dry for other system's games. Let's hope !Arcade! puts out Dodge Ball !

There isnt nothing more pathetic then living off your girl...Be a man for god sakes.
Get a job or something, that is downright sad..
Soon you'll be saying, "get me another beer"
sad...Men are stereotypically the stronger sex, so they can and should get off there asses, treat your girl like a queen, dont be a leech...My opinion.

Hey LWK:

It was a joke.

And just to clarify: it is MY check that pays our rent, and I have a good job where I work hard every day. I am no moocher, as she can attest to. All my games come out of MY money and mine alone. So there you go.

It's not an expensive hobby. Fixing up import cars, car stereo, home stereo are expensive too. It's all relative I guess. Expensive, but fun hobby.

Well I only recently got my NeoGeo cart system when emulation failed to deliver Metal Slug 3. Yes, I know emulation is rather deplorable in these forums, but those days are behind me now. Mind you, when I think about how many PS2 games I could own for the price of the 5 NeoGeo games I have.......
Not that there are that many PS2 games actually worth owning. And those cart boxes truly are a sight to behold - just.so.big.

hehe..........I speak from the deapths of my heart on this.

Neo Geo is a drug.. a magical special awsome drug. I keeps me working. Money flys away.. but I keeps coming (In small amounts) I had made my hands bleed working so much for the Neo Geo CD. Yeah... it is an expensive hobby, Hide. And its slowly killing me. (Not really, but it is pissing me off a little bit)

I've always been a fan, but the release of the NGPC rekindled my interest to an insane amount.... I just can't stop myself....
