at last.
- got my mv-1fz board.
-a vogatek supergun IV
-a scart cable
-a scart/hdmi box
-a 600w power supply (for the vogatek)
-2 neo-geo controller
-for sound output, got headphone plug->Red/white
-and a 138-in-one multi cart.

everything seems to plug into quite easily but
i guess surely there is something about a mod or two to do first

any wise info ?
thank you in advance ;)

Well, you should have a socketed BIOS, so you should probably get a unibios for maximum enjoyment. You should also check the battery on the mv-1a to make sure it is not leaking; remove or replace it if it is original or leaking.

yeah well ive read quite lots of stuff.
i just hope i didnt pull a bad move since im pretty new to this

also i noticed that on the 138-in-1 there's some kind of button..
and a dip switch (with 2 switches)..any info on that ?

as for the whole mv-1fz.
all the lights on 138-in-1, vogatek and mv-1fz are on.
so there's electricity running.
but still nothing.

i removed the game cart +pcb. press on again....still nothing up the screen.
maybe the scart cable i got isnt good (i found it in one of my box) but i did order a new one.
(just in case)

Try to start a game (A button maybe?). Is there sound now?

Which SCART to HDMI box you have? It might not support 59Hz.

Or if you don't fancy playing on a 12" screen, get yourself an XRGB of some kind.
I have the mini, works like a charm.

A CRT screen has way better compatibility than any HDTV. What I was trying to say is that your TV is probably the issue here. Your setup could work just fine on a CRT so maybe you should check that before buying more cables, upscalers and all.

Not so rare this side of the pond. Thrift shops have them $10-20. A couple months ago I picked up a 27" Toshiba with component, s-video & composite for $14.
