Got this 2-slot pcb in nonworking order. Put it on the bench and is not displaying correctly. Just show lines that move around.

I burned a test rom for it, and can only hear beeps and static. Not quite sure on how to interpret those without the screen showing.

Any advice on what to check next?

Make a UNIBIOS in and see what you get error messages.
If you replaced the BIOS and no picture, you should check out the ZMC2 chip.
Please check the alignments that do not have an open somewhere.

Use smkdan's diagnostic bios with the optional z80 testing via cha board with custom M1. It will give you error messages in tones so if you can't see anything you can still hear the tones to determine what error is being thrown out.

What' a cheap cart that I can use m1 with?

Do not buy a working cart to make this one. Instead, try getting only the CHA board (it's where the M1 chip goes) and use it. If there is no other way, maybe you can get a boot puzzle bobble where the boards are original and gut it.

Regards.

You can use a cheap cart, I would suggest putting a socket in for the M1 so you can swap it back to a normal cart when not using for diagnostics.
