I have a replacement chassis, was gonna swap it in when I noticed this... one of the copper tangs is busted, is there an easy way to replace this with the one from my screwed chassis? Don't want to mess stuff up more

One option is transplanting the flyback off the screwed chassis. If its not the problem on the messed up chassis that is.

Yeah, do they come off easily or do I need to splice it? Didn't want to poke too much on my own

I believe you have to desolder the flyback from the both chassis and swap them. But this only works if the flyback from the screwed up chassis is still okay.

It should connect like a spark plug cable. If you push the rubber down over the cable it should expose the crimp for them.

Finally took a look, pulled the rubber back farther than I would have otherwise and this will work.... Thanks!!
