Hey!

I just got Metal Slug 2 for the MVS.

It looks real but 2 chips are missing the Toshiba logo on it. The number on the chips seem right though.

The chips i am talking about are 241-S1 and 241 M1.

The second board looks exactly the same as the pics on mvs-scans.com

Is it a real cart or boot/partial boot?

Thanks for your help!

It's legit. It's common to see different types of maskroms intermixed on boards.

Allright! Thanks man!

Sorry for the shitty picture quality :D

Also, keep in mind that MVS Metal Slug is a $40 cart (tops), therefore there is no gain for a bootlegger to make a fake one. You should usually care of high-price carts or the really common carts (Garou, King of fighters series, etc.)

And Puzzle Bobble. All of them are fake out there.

Regards.

You do realize there was a time it would've made financial sense to bootleg it? And those carts are still around?

Yes, I realized that after I posted. However there are many games that do not seem to have fakes and others seem to have a lot (Puzzle Bobble). It probably is based on the popularity of the game back in the day. BTW: Have you seen many MS2 boots? I have never seen one.

Regards.
