Just curious, anyone actually like Andro Dunos?

I didn't care for this game that much. Those who have already read my posted review in the past know this. But I want some general ideas and feedback just to make sure on a few things. What do ya'll think about Andro Dunos? I thought it was too plain and boring, even though it had some nice graphics with a great use of color.

However, we all know graphics can never replace a solid gameplay experience. Anyone wish to defend or simply comment that they like this title? If you do, please elaborate your points as to why.

AW crap I'm asking for it here but I'll try.
-Pulstar, Blazing Star, Strikers 1945, Twinkle Star Sprites, Veiwpoint, Alpha Mission II, Ghost Pilots, Last Resort, Aerofighters 2&3, ect...are all better games on AES and should be played or purchased first. But Andro Dunos is NOT a bad shooter. It is just not spectacular like several other Neo Geo shooters. Control is good. Gameplay is there. The game can give your itchy trigger finger a work out with all the rapid fire needed to finish the game. There are good powerups and using a bomb drops your powerup level by one so you have to use strategy. There are bonus incentives. The simple graphics are the major negative for most people, but I thought they were colorful and that the bosses were interesting. The levels have many different enemies and obstacles to interact with. Not a great game but fun and worth the low asking price if you are a serious shooter fan.

I like that one board that is a direct rip off of Life force... you know the one inside the alien... man that was a big rip off, especially if you use the little red laser gun

It is OK at best. There are many other shooters that are a lot better on the Neo. This one is not one of the best but it is worth a few minutes or so to at least give it a try.

When I previewed the game on neorage I thought it was crap, but after playing the home version, I am very satisfied. Of course it is no where near the quality of pulstar, but it does have a decent soundrack and grafics that are a notch above mega drive games. Due to space and moving issues I recently cut my collection in half and Andro Dunos is one cart that is staying.

Erm i really like it 2 yes the grafix are'nt fantastic but its one of the first games to appear on the Neo.if u flush the grafix out of your mind u will find a solid shooter that offers a great challenge with great power ups and bombs which is also fantastic fun on 2P!!!

Hey Dude long time no speak. I hope things are going well with your new job. We have got to see about hooking up again for some serious Blazing Star Team up again. Hell I'll do any 2 player Co-Op action if you're at the helm with me. I had a blast with you at A-Kon and suffice to say, there is another Anime Convention coming to Austin
for the 1st time. I'm going to try and help out with the gameroom so I'll probably be staffed there to help things run well. Going to be 24 hours like it was at A-Kon and yes the Neo will be there. Hope ta seeya soon...

P.S. I actully liked Andro Dunos but that's probably because it remined me of an ole 2D style shooter from the old Nes/SuperNes days...

Andro Dunos was a very sad little shooter. Very primitive graphics and sound (what, like 25 megs?), unoriginal gameplay, lame bosses, etc. Since I'm a complete shooter nut, I have it; but it certainly ranks very low in the world of shooters.

Eh. I happen to think Andro Dunos is a decent little shooter. The graphics do suck but the music is great. My biggest beef with the game is that on the later levels, if you die a couple times you'll lose so much power that the rest of your built-up extra lives will go too.
