I do not, I just replace the coin cell with 2 rechargeable AAA batteries.
That doesn't sound like a bad idea. Whats that setup look like?
I used this guide for my DCs: http://www.snesorama.us/board/showt...ast-Internal-Battery-Replacement-The-EASY-Way!
Works fine, though if I store the consoles for a few months I have to leave them on for several hours to recharge. As long as I use the consoles somewhat regularly, they stay charged enough to hold the clock.
I wonder why Sega went with a soldered in battery for the Dreamcast when the Saturn had an easily changeable one? Has anyone come across DC's with leaking batteries already?
Why not just use a rechargeable ML2032 battery?
That's what I did after I installed a battery holder.
This, done it as well, works like a charm. mmmonkey has a tutorial on it.Why not just use a rechargeable ML2032 battery?

Oh, btw.: Been thereWasn't aware of these. Seems like these would be perfect for MVS (and possibly PGM too), without disabling charging circuit?
