Purple tint with a Genesis 1 + 32X

I hooked up my 32X to my Genesis 1 earlier today and noticed a weird purple tint on Genesis and Sega CD games (but not 32X games). Any idea on what's causing the problem? Can it be fixed?

Sounds like it could be a video DAC problem.

Was it a complete purple overlay or just certain parts?
