God damn it Fran!

All this talk, and arguments we've sorta had. You agrivate me, you impress me, you make me laugh. But through it all, I hear constant talk of KOF98. I'm a KOF2k person, but I'm relatively new to the Neo. I like 2k but I hear how it's shite. I don't agree with that but, I load up a ROM of KOF98. I play, I'm impressed. I figure I'll just play the ROM hardcore when I get my PC sticks, as I'm kinda broke (XMas sucks don't it).

So today I can't play my 2k cause my sister is borrowin my AV wires. So I hit the PC after some serious CvS2. I start falling in love with this damn game. I can't just keep a ROM of a game I love, I need the cart. The MVS cart. Now I have to spend more money. Look at what you're doing to me! Damn it! *Ahem* let me translate it for you:

You have the ROM, yet you are going to BUY the game? But I thought everybody who played Emu games was a thieving bastard who never contributed a dime to the gaming industry.

How can this be? It's almost as if playing the ROM encouraged you to buy the game.

How very, very odd.

Don't stereotype everybody who uses emus. I use them to play the games first hand (I don't have an arcade anywhere near me), to see if I like them. After all, I don't want to pay $200+ for a game I will not like at all. If it weren't for the NeoRage not too long ago, I would've completely forgotten about the Neo, moved on, and not have bought the system, and the 20+ games within the past 3 months. Emulation is a tool. It's how you use it is what matters.

All this talk of KoF 98 reminds me of how awesome it truly is.

I own the DC version, but it is just not good enough.

It's good..

But having a home cart of that would be so much

better.

I think I should plan on getting this one down the road.

Just snagged the MVS cart off eBay from mdgamesales.com

I've dealt with them before and they've been good. Can't wait to get it, just sent the paypal. Thank god I have a few 40 hour work weeks before school starts again!

Just wanted to toss in my 2 cents on emulation...

I don't do it, just because I'm too lazy to bother with it. I mean, isn't the point of owning a game system in the first place to circumvent the use of a computer in the first place?

Anyway, it is a great tool to test out new games, but whoever that was that tried it first and then bought it, I'm sure you're in the very small minority...especially in the Neo Geo community. I mean, look at DC owners. Probably more than half of them have collections made primarily of pirate games.

Now, look at the Neo Geo. I can easily drop 2k on a few good carts...or on a computer that will play hundreds of games. Yeah, I'm with everyone else here...I'll drop it on the carts...but I certainly can't blame anyone for just doing the whole emu thing...even thout I think you're evil and should burn in hell. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
