the screen on gameboy advanced is slightly bigger, and of course its 32bit, so the graphics look better. but i think the resolution is the same.. it looks that way to me .. <i only have F-zero for GBA, and Puzzle Bobble for NGPC, so thats all i have to compare.> GBA feels like its made of higher-quality plastic than the NGPC... but i like the NGPC better... call me nostalgic.. oh, and everyone go pick up a GBA backup unit at www.lik-sang.com! they will be available at the end of the month. lik-sang is very reliable, and they take CC's.

Its about the same to be honest... The GBA's is bigger, but there seems to be no problem in terms of resolution.

The gba has a larger, wide screen. It feels a little awkward in my hands, though, they are a little to large for the system. Of course you wont be using a joystick like on the pocket, which you can say is good or bad. I prefer using the joystick. The screen is nice and the pixals are the same size, but since the gba has a larger screen it can display more of them. The gba has more colors which with current games isn't all that noticable.

only drawback with GBA is that it's not using "joystick" type control.
Too bad that NGPC can't do some cool zooming, rotate and other things.......
I like GBA better.......

Its supposed to as it uses a 32bit arm processor. Same as a pocket pc device. Though pocketpc has better screen as it costs about $500.

Like I say before
Even though GBA has better resolution and CPU speed but it still not as good as Turbo Express (you can play TE in the dark without turning light on)

The fact that the gameboy advance lacks backlighting is the price you pay for a very portable system with long battery life. And hey, only 2 double A batts!.

The backlighting thing is the only advantage that the Express has over the GBA(hardware-wise). GBA is a superior machine in every other respect and has plenty more power.

Sure the Express has a larged library of games, but most of the good pc engine stuff was Cd based anyways. And after Super SF2T come out, I will have an effective way to play classic Street Fighter on the go. Screw Nomad(batts last 2 hours)!

GBA all the way!
Turbo Express (i love you) but nay!

My worthless,
Rade

For me the neogeo pocket is better at the mo simply because it has more games out....give the gameboy advance a year and it should become very popular....Although I really like metal slug on the neogeo pocket ....

I hate to say that but GBA has better graphic than NGPC. Castlevania has best graphic so far (sooner other titles will replace it on the top chart.....Final Fight One, SSF 2X)........
Take NGPC Metal Slug 2 compares to GBA Final Fight One......GBA has better look.

If the backlight or lack of for GBA bothers you, buy a Worm Light Advance for $10 by Nyko. It's cheap, and it works very well. You can easily play in total darkness.

It also has a pass thru for your Link Cable.

Only thing worries me is that if those accessories will fuck up my GBA?
4-in-1 already fuckup my Saturn........

The 4-in-1 fucked up your Saturn because the materials used to make the pinout assembly weren't made to be durable like the rest of the console.

Repeated removal and insertion of the cart mess up the pins over time. This happened to one of my Saturns last year.

The GBA Worm Light doesn't work like that. I seriously doubt it would mess up your GBA.

My friend has been using a Worm Light on his GBC since they came out, and he never had any problems.

EDITED for spelling errors.

The GBA Worm light works perfectly fine, Silent. I advise you to purchase the
actual GBA version of this light, because the GBC Worm light only works at half
power (its extremely dim). I bought my Japanese GBA from Japanvideogames over
3 weeks ago, and I'm lovin' every minute of it! I just purchased the U.S. version of
Castlevania yesterday ( God, this game is great!) and I picked up the U.S. version of
SDB today. All three -- including the GBA Worm light -- were bought from my local
EB. I'm looking at my GBA system right now, and I'm very satisfied with the system
and it's games thus far. I still love my NGPC, but Final Fight One, SSFII, etc., look
mighty tempting! Tony Hawk Pro Skater is a blast, in case you didn't know. This
game is basically identical (gameplay wise) to the PSX version, with some of the best
controls in a portable game. Aye, it gives me chills! Well, I'm off to thwart
Dracula's plan to rule the world. If I don't return, hang a cross in my name.
