Hi All

samurai spirits 3 and 4 both jap carts in mint condition boxed and complete .

ok unless i lift both carts up slightly on the left hand side they both refuse to play ? .

all i get is blue screen (no cart) selftest etc . when cart's inserted ? .

i have tested these games on 3 US systems all different mobo's and same result so defo these cart's ? .

games play fine when lifted up at an angle thou ? .

Q1 anyone else had this issue ?
Q2 anyone have a way to solve ?

all my other games just work fine .

Thanks in advance .

how did you clean your cart contacts?

As for the slot tightening, use a screwdriver.

If that doesn't work, you can send me the games and I'll see if they work.

i use walm water with cotton buds (some carts contacts are black with dirt) those on ebay are the worst .
then a soft toothbrush with non alcoholic cleaner detergent etc.

alway's worked in the past .

will defo check out the slot's to see if that help's .

thanks for the info

cotton buds are only damp literally just to help grab dirt only then dry wiped over top to bottom and left for at least 5/10 mins .

it has worked in the past for mega drive / super nes / jaguar / n64 etc .

have to be carefull of course .

have got many older cart's working again after a little TLC .

Clean the system slots. It doesn't matter how clean your cart is if the slot is a whore.

cleaned mobo slots and no change .

this maybe odd but to me these cart's rom boards seem to have more thickness to em like they fit to tight in machine ? .

i tested SS4 on a very well used AES which i know for fact all cart's just fall into like a whore .
plenty of play and AES or (tempramental old bitch) can give aggro while playing reset/no sound/dodgy graphics etc .

and still SS4 tight as ? and still not work .

i am going to take these jap cart's apart .
also i got new jap aes 3-6 stock unused console that i am going to unbox and test cart's on .
it's not U.S so not rare lol

It's possible the last owner opened it and put it back together the wrong way.

yes, completely possible

but SS3?@!@# Why open that?

To make sure it wasn't counterfeit?

People have dumb reasons to open up a cart. I remember a noob opening one because he wanted to know how the rom chips looked liked because he liked looking at electronics. And he ripped the label doing so.
