You know what ViolentStorm? If we were making a list of greatest games we played "in their time" my list would be similar to yours. Goldeneye, Metal Gear, GTA3, and Mario 64 would likely make it. But I just feel those games haven't aged the best. Goldeneye was incredible in its day, yet today its somewhat unplayable to me. Super Mario 64 was a masterpiece in 1996, the best game I ever played on release, but I can't help notice how primitive and ugly the 3D art style is these days along with the wonky camera controls. Your list seems very nostalgic... lol

The list I compiled is very nostalgic for me as most of those games in my top 10 I remember playing when I was growing up and stick's in the memory the most for me and have giving me the most fun during my childhood. Having said that though I'm still very happy with my list.

I'd rather play those than nowadays garbage.

I'm tired of just seeing pretty graphics on soul-less games.

4. Rez - DC
3. Resident Evil 4 - GC
1. Metal Gear Solid - PS1

Definitely some of my favorites too.

Metal Gear Solid blew me away. Unique game play with such a rich story. And Rez and RE4 are just bad ass for their own reasons.

Really good list btw. GoldenEye is still a fun point + shoot FPS, even today. Takes some adjusting too initially, but still, much more enjoyable than this ADS gash all FPS's are plagued with today.

GTAIII was also my preferred 3D GTA too. It was just right...

Best games that I would want to play - most of you listed games I don't really care to play anymore. Goldeneye is not exactly standing the test of time. Nothing on the PS2 is either.

4. Ninja Masters
5. King of Fighters 95
6. Final Fantasy Tactics
7. Tecmo Super Bowl
8. Tetris

No Legend of Success Joe?

You see, this is why I hate the top ten, why no top 11? nor top 13? Legend of Succes Joe has a special spot in my heart but I can't list it. I had a hard time choosing between this and Grey's Anatomy but the many hours of conversation I had with mylelf after each game of Grey's Anatomy really influenced my judgement here. Next time make it a top 11 OP, seriously.

I'm one of the few who thinks Super Mario World is superior to Super Mario Bros. 3. It's far more consistent. SMB3 has some low points like the mini games that get old fast, or that stupid turtle guy you have to constantly beat and get tired of who's in that castle in the middle of each world. Some of the levels are too short. SMB3 is bitter sweet to me. Super Mario World has Yoshi... enuff said...

the fact that you put Halo 3 next to KoF2002 screams fake account

but I'm sure you thought "long and hard" about that one

Bungie is the greatest game developer of the modern era. I can't wait for Destiny... Some of us aren't struck completely in the past...
