Somehow, I took time from playing all the SNK vs. Capcom, and devoted some time with Gals Fighters...

WOW! What a great game! The combos are a bit crazy, but at the same time it adds to the hysteria. It's certainly one of the better games for the NGPC, and for combos and action it actually rivals SNK vs. Capcom... even though SvC has more options, characters and obviously more ways to play it.

Plus... the whole concept of Miss X is a RIOT (hint hint...

Anyone else have Gals Fighters out there??

A very cool game. I think it has the best animation of all the NGPC fighting games out there.

You should see the dialog when you actually go through the game with Miss X...
biggrin.gif

Win quotes like, "How long do I have to keep this outfit on?"...

And when you do Miss X vs. Miss X, the other version looks like Kyo!!! They even have fighting intros where both face each other, showing their respected "flames".

All in all, an excellent game with some very psychotic combos:

Mai: Jumping B, Standing 3xA, DF B, 2xQCB+A. I wish I could do THIS in CvS!

I have Gals Fighters and yes it does rock. Its fast and has really chaotic fights in it. I like it when you finish some one with a special move, nice pic on the background.

Just wanted to add my voice to the Approval for this great game!
Do any of you think it is the fastest NGPC fighter?
The animation for the special moves is totally jaw dropping!
It was one of the later games that I bought, and I wasn't expecting much more than a re-hash of some of the earlier games. Was I wrong!
A great game, under-rated and difficult to find. Is it still readily available in the U.S?

I think this is probably the fastest handheld fighting game of all. I don't ever recall anything on the Gameboy that could do something at the speed of Gals Fighter on Speed 4.

I have a US copy, but would love to get my hands on a plastic shell. That paper box is just too painful for me to carry with me on trips.

I only have two games for the NGPC for now... Match of the Milennium and Gals Fighters. Since MOTM has a plastic case, I put the manuals for both games in one, and hold the game I'm not playing at the time inside the casing.

I'll probably get the rest of the fighters for it... but what I would really like for this is some sort of traditional RPG. I know there is a few of them, but I don't know any of their names.

Faselei and Evolution: Eternal Dungeon are what first come to mind. Both probably very hard to find and expensive by now.

Luckily there are a good number of small, hardcore gamer stores here in NYC that sell some of this stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if they had some of these games for a reasonable price.

I'll have to make a little journey after work tomorrow. If anyone else is interested, I'll post whatever I find. At most, I think I've seen MOTM go for $45. That's about $15 more than I paid for it initially, but still beats some of the "rare" prices you may find on eBay.

Yeah... I already know about that place.
I go there on occasion to check out what type of DC imports and NGPC games they may have. Last night, they seemed to have a fairly decent selection. A lot of Japanese and European Imports, with few US games. But they did have one copy of Gals Fighters. I almost bought a title that looked like it was "Ogre Battle". Not sure of the title, but I remember what the cover looks like, so with a little research on the net I shall be able to figure out which one it is.

They also had compies of BioMotor Unitron 1 and 2. Just what is that game all about anyhow?
