Hey n-g crew,

I recently bought a lot of 3 broken MVS games that consisted of Aero Fighters 2, MSX and KOF98.
I recently got around to fixing them.

When I first got Aero fighters 2 it would just skip to cross hatch screen. Which lead me to believe a problem with the P1 so I burnt a eprom chip replaced and viola it boots up perfectly fine but no sound. I found a thread about some one with a similar issues and cleaned the contact and reflowed the solder on the S1, M1, V1 and V2 and still no sound.

I am kind of stumped on this so what else could the problem be?

I am running this on a Stereo modded MV1FZ through a super gun and using a computer ATX to power it.

Try replacing the M1 chip, it's bound to be that \o_

Forgot to mention I did replace the M1 and same issues lol. I thought I might of gotten a bad rom dump so I booted it up in neoragex and it worked fine.... I wonder if I should replace the Vroms, Srom, Mrom and see if that will give it sound again lol.

Probe the V roms while the game is running and check the control lines.

That's backwards. Buy a probe before you buy broken carts/pcbs.

Get one that has audio.
Is there one that you would recommend? I know i've been needing a logic probe and such but have been putting it off lol
