Reason for sudden demand for DC Link Cable

During the past few weeks, neogeostore.com has sold an unusually high number of Dreamcast to Neo Pocket Link Cables. In fact, one person even bought 10 of them. Finally, I asked a customer if he knew why there was suddenly such a demand for them.

Well, it turns out that a modified DC Link Cable along with a voltage converter, a few capacitors, etc., can connect to your PC and enable you to download Dreamcast ROMs and then you can successfully burn them. Thus, you can basically get free Dreamcast games. I have read up on the whole process and it's a major pain in the ass.

Anyway, this may be old news to some of you--but it's new to me, and quite interesting.
