From what I've seen....

Pocket Reversi (UK)

There's a bunch of others that have varying degrees of rareness like Faselei!, Cotton, Picture Puzzle, and Dive Alert: Matt.

I'm making a rare game list on my website over the weekend, the UK page is up..

Evolution is easily the rarest UK game, if not the rarest game on NGP worldwide.

Evolution is not as rare as the UK edition of Pocket Reversi, unless someone is stock piling them all.

The less common games are CFC2 (Jap), Pocket Reversi (UK), Infinity Cure (Jap), and Gal Fighters (UK) to name but a few. Most US games are fairly common but Japanese games can be difficult to get now.

MS2 is common but takes a good price because it is a good game and most people keep hold of it.

There is another game that is very rare, i think it was a baseball game that was withdrawn because of copyright infringment, but the name eludes me at the moment.

If you take, for instance, Radiant Silvergun for the Saturn as being rare, then there are a lot of NGPC game that are rare.

For the future, Jap cardbaord games will probably become very rare in Mint condition as most came in a Cardboard box. The US market was swamped with games and even though they also had a cardbaord box, there are still a large ammount of new games on the market being sold. English Versions are very robust so their rate of rareness will increase slower.

...and i have another on auction. :D

Missing the bloody instructions though! :(

WindyJay - Nice site but Pocket Reversi is definately now less common than Evolution. The only copy i have seen on EBay for over a year went for £130 recently!

I thought that japanese porno mahjong game was supposed to be pretty rare too? I've got it but I can't remember the damn name exactly.. I'll just assume you all know wtf I'm talking about.

It has good graphics. <img src="graemlins/eye.gif" border="0" alt="[Eye]" /> <img src="graemlins/eye.gif" border="0" alt="[Eye]" />

The Neo Poke Pro Yakkyu, which had the official japanese baseball teams, is not rare at all. Maybe uncommon, but not rare. It's always selling in Japan for under $20. And no, I won't point you there, because honestly, Dynamite Slugger UK is in english, and if you can't find a Japanese game on your own, you probably wouldn't understand it if you bought it.

The game isn't really rare either. But the art book that it was supposed to be released with is.

I meant the name of the game, not that i wanted it..... <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

..... and it is not common outside Japan, or on EBay. How rare a game is does compare to were you can get it, for instance Faselei UK is not really that rare in Europe but can be harder to get in other continents. ;)

So why don't you guys mention the games that are rare hardly on ebay?

I mean like pocket hanafuda or shigeru mizuki's ghost photographer.

Neo Pro Yakkyu is the subject of speculation and stupid bidding wars between westerners, and the sheep that watched. The price was unaffected in Japan, and that's why Japanese people trade it like the common stock it is.

Damn, I've wanted shigeru mizuki's ghost photographer for the longest time now, thanks for telling me its real name.

Yep, Super Real Mahjong Premium (kind of weird how I know that :) )... anyway, the 3 rarest I know of in order are Evolution, Faselei, and Last Blade (all UK versions) as they were all pushed out at the very last minute (supposedly after the UK office knew they were supposed to be closing). All the rest of the games I've been able to find. The only one I'm currently having trouble finding is KOF R-1, although I don't really think that's rare.

Wrong, Faselei and Last Blade were in UK shops for a good few months before SNK recalled all the games and arent that rare in Europe as someone said above. Evolution on the other is rarer and only 1 of 8 games in the UK that were never released to retail outlets, hence alot rarer to get.

OK, I stand corrected, although personally I've only seen Last Blade UK version once here in the states. I basically gave up looking for it a while ago and got the JPN version instead.

Yeah, if you check my site below (on the games list/rare uk games page) the top 8 were never sent to retail outlets.
