Sam Sho 1 + KoF R1 = In english?

Are there any versions of these two games in English?

I have the Japanese version of KOF R-1, and it plays in English when my NGPC is set to English. I imagine Samurai Shodown 1 is the same way, since most of the earlier NGPC games had both Japanese and English in them.

You're right,in europe we got hard cased b&w games...
King of fighters R-1,pocket tennis,neogeo cup 98,baseball stars were hard cased,european version..
melon chan,shogi no tatsujin surely did NOT come out in european version...
