GP32 (GAME PARK 32) coming to Europe

It's on the way, the Game Park 32 is being released in Europe before Christmas.

I will definitely be purchasing one!

I would like to know your views on this system!

Where did you get this from ?

Anyway I don't see any games that tickle my fancy as yet - ooo errr. Now if they ported Metal slug to it - now that's a different matter.

Just hope they get the pricing right. Some of the games look like they have been created using Klik & Play though

I was really interested in it initially but I have to say...I really couldn't care less any more.

The whole idea of homebrew and even emulated games on it is cool (legally emulated that is), but where the hell are all these third party games we heard about?

Capcom was doing this and Square was doing that and so on.

When I look at the game release list I recognized one company...Gainax...and they're not even best known for being a GAME developer in the first place. Princess Maker is a fun game...but...that's it, huh?

I'm a little disapointed to say the least, it's been almost 2 years and the system hasn't had a single title that would make me jump up and buy one.

I wish there was but...what's the point? When the biggest draw is homebrewed games, then that's not much of a draw.

I agree with Blaine, it has looked kinda dissapointing since the early promise, but if it does come to Europe (and I'd also like to know if this is official) I'll certainly buy one

can anyone reccomend any games?

But will they do translation of the games?

Some of them still look awesome though.... even if i am dubious about buying one without seeing it. At least if it gets here we can have a look for ourselves!

Nice...maybe if you lovely US citizens had paid more attention to the NGPC you might be getting the Gamepark! Ahh, if it comes to Europe, quids in that it will reach US shores first.

I would buy one too watch movies on and such (if they make smart media that big )

Hopefully when it hits Europe more 3rd parties like Capcom and Sega and Square and Playmore and Nintendo and Treasure will be interested in it.
(and it would be a snap to port games over with an emulator-ish setup)

Here're a bit news :

-first of all if you need more information you can read my English FAQ on gp32news.com

-release in Europe : the NGPC did good sales in UK that's probably why it's the first country to officially import GP32.
It's sure it'll be a test before trying to sell it elsewhere.
Distributing the GP32 in the whole USA is expensive so it won't be done unless blockbursters come on it.
It's probably the first time some video games stuff are released in Europe before USA. Untill here it wasthe opposite things came in Europe if only it did good sales in USA. So we caneasily understand how much it piss you off !

-many things should be announced for the ECTS for 3rd party : still some capcom games in developpment, some Sega games, and probably others.
I don't if square will be announced. But it's quite sure that no SNK titles will be announced.

-translation is a problem not for most of the games but for the best of them : Astonishia Story R, the game's really huge and the bill is to translate too.

Dyhard Infinity looks sooo cool. I hope it's true about the GP32 coming to Europe, but if it's just to test the waters in the market, I wonder how long this system will last. They'll need to port over the big games like Astonishing Story R, and definetly the niche action games like Dyhard Infinity. Basically, the lineup for the GP32 is so small that they need to port over just about every game. Just like the NGPC. It doesn't have to have a huge lineup of games, just as long as most of them are quality games. We don't even need quality translations.. we're all NEO GAMERS!

But if GP32 does come out in an English market, I for one will support it. It looks mega cool.

Thanks, how is my english in this FAQ ?

I wouldn't recommend Dyhard, which is not a good game. Tomak or ASR would be better choice.
