What's your forecast regarding the NGPC future?

Mine is bleak. Gameboy Advanced is coming soon, then there is a Wander Swan Color (though, I think it wouldn't make a dent on the behemoth called GBA, when ever it comes out). And how much support is Aruze giving to the pocket? I hate to say this, but I think NGPC is going to be out in 1-2 years(maybe faster)... Of course, NGPC is becoming like AES (for small but die-hard loyal crowd), so who knows? Any thoughts?

Pachinko games for the NGPC? No, anything but that. Those games suck, royally. They may as well stop the NGPC all together...

I'm guessing the system will die in half a year.

I only know of 2 or 3 games still coming out, and the only real one is Big Bang Wrestling.

Before, I cared. Now, I don't. I have all these kick ass games for it. I even have more games for NGPC then SNES, DC, and GameGear.

I mean, what's left for me to want? KoF R-3? Probably won't come out. MS3rd? Same deal. MotM2? Got axed. etc.

But you never know, Aruze could always bring back NGPC with full force.

Everyone thought Aruze was trying to kill SNK from the inside, but then they said that Neogeo support is still there. Even stronger then before.

There is still hope for NGPC.

KoF R-3
FF 2nd Contact
MS 3rd Mission
MotM 2
SamSho!3
and so on.

It's dead! No question. The Game Boy and its infinite reincarnations proved to be way too much for SNK. That just goes to show what aggressive advertising and an immense market presence can do for an inferior product.

After the wrestling game comes that will be the 2nd to last game. Some pachinko is coming after it. There wont be a KOF 3 or any of the other announced titles. The system will be dead in 1 month.

That sucks that they have given up on the system, but if people have given up on the system how can we excpect them to bring more games to it. I would rather them support the home system then the NGPC anyway though.

I like the home system more than the pocket as well. The NGPC did have some of the best games of all time. However I ended up selling my system a month or so after the SNK pull out because since there we so few games coming and they were in Jap. I just gave up. If Orge Battle was in English I would have kept the system for sure.

Yeah and with the game prices on certain games going as high as new Home Cart prices, I'll pass. I have a problem paying a hundred dollars for a little pocket game.

Pretty much its dead, but its still going a little bit in Japan but its fully dead in America for um obvious reasons... Game Boy has and probably always will be unbeatable...

The final game was Card Fighters Clash 2: Expand Edition I think. The only game of intrest that has a slight chance of getting released I think is KOF: Round 3 I remember hearing they even changed its name to KOF2001 on the NGPC.

I wonder what happened to Master Terry Bogard? He was an interesting poster!

So, did you read the entire backlog of NGPC posts?
Anyway, one thing is certain! The NGPC has bugger all future now!
Except as a retro collectable.

I can picture a third party re-releasing the NGPC system in other territories.

Same here, the NGPC had the better graphics before GBA came out, but the problem is that it only has two buttons, kinda limits programming.
