Is KOFR1 really rare?

Actually, there are a lot of KoF R-1's out there, but they are harder to find because they were not released outside of Asia. Europe and North America did not get this title, so it takes a little digging.

It is a great game though and worth tracking down, even if it is monochromatic.

Kof R-1, in japanese version is a very common game. The only version of this game which is difficult to find is the asian version (english text on the cover)

Ah, yes. Good to make the distinction.

I actually have one of each and although I guess the Asian (English) one was a bit harder to get, I suppose, at the time it really wasn't all that difficult.

Perhaps now that time has passed, it has become harder. The tough one for me to find was Samurai 1 on NGP. I ended up having to buy the Samurai NGP package set to get that game.

Keep looking for that KoF R-1. You'll find it.

Bought a hardcase version of R-1, and the damn cart does not work. Plug it into my NGPC and it acts like there is no game in there. Wonder if it is possible to re-flash it with the ROM of the game, if I have one of those devices from Lik-Sang?

I have KoF R1 on NGP, but lost the insert and manual when I moved.

What was I thinking?
