I have a US/NTSC AES, serial is around 65000 which I'd like to hook up to a Sony PVM-2950.
I've used a Scart-jack with a LM1881N and it worked fine, now I have another monitor of the same kind and want to make it my dedicated screen for the neo.
Since I assumed there were all the signals I need on the AV-port of the AES I built a cable like this:

AES AV-port ---------> BNC inputs on TV:
red ------> red
green ------> green
blue ------> blue
csync ------> csync
ground ------> red ground, green ground, blue ground, sync ground

I was pretty suprised to see this wasn't working...
Did I miss anything?

Any help is very much appreciated, thanks guys!

Does this new cable also have the lm1881? I have the same setup with that monitor and it was needed.

nope. I used the LM1881N IC in my Scart plug.
That new cable I made uses direct connections because I thought that using CSync directly from the AES was a better idea than using CVideo and seperate the CSync from that signal.

First Cable (works for some, but not all consoles)
female Scart to BNC
red -> red
green -> green
blue -> blue
cvideo -> lm1881n -> csync

New cable (direct connection)
AES AV Port to BNC
red -> red
green -> green
blue -> blue
csync -> csync

So I guess the Csync Signal from the AES is no good for the monitor....
Which means I'll end up using CVideo and get a clean CSync from that with the IC.
