Welcome! :) I hope you have a great time with the NGPC. I just got mine last month and love it! However I still haven't played all the games I bought yet.

Here are a few games I'd reccomend getting:

Neo Turf Masters (Big Tourament Golf)
The Last Blade
Puzzle Bobble
Gals Fighters
Magical Drop
Samurai Shodown 2

you gotta get cotton and ss2. I'd recommend getting familiar little brothers of neo games you enjoy too. This is what I've gone by. ss2 is 100% true to it's roots. as are sonic, slug, and MOTM is what got cvs started. In my opinion it was better than the first because of the character roster

I'd say buy any games you can get!
Zorro's right about getting the lil' bro's of your fav Neo titles!
Neo TURF MASTERS! Is an absolute must have.
So really is Puzzle Bobble.
Gals Fighters is superb.
Dark Arms is brilliant.
Although I've never gotten into it, Everone loves Card fighters Clash!

So, how are you enjoying your already quite respectable collection so far?

Yeah i am love Capcom Vs SNK and Sonic they are taking up all my spare time at the moment.

I have been a gameboy fan for years but when the NGPC was released i thought it was something different to all that had tried and failed before it.

Even though it was an amazing console i left it behind and followed the croud and got a gameboy colour. Time went on and soon i was playing my shiney new GBA on launch day, as more and more time passed i kept thinking that i had a hankering for some Metal Slug action, everytime i convinced myself the PSx Metal Slug X would be enough and as time went on the release date got pushed back and back (PAL).

At the end of April i though ah how much can a NGPC cost now so i hunted one down for £15 and thought it would be a simple task of getting hold of Metal SLug 1 and 2 since the console it no longer in production i thought the games would be £5 ish. How wrong was i?

I decided that the longer i was waiting the more the games were going for on ebay so lept in and got myself a copy of Capcom Vs SNK from the USA ( one of these cart only jobbies).

While i was waiting for that i kept looking at my console and wanted to play so i went on a bit of a spending spree picking up a few games.

I have never looked back since my GBA is now gathering dust and i even have two new ish games that i have yet to complete. I do plan to go and get Made In Wario tomorrow though.

As for SNK i wonder how they managed to make what could have been the best ever HH into a flop?

I would say the marketing, i know in Europe they went for the not a boy campaign and at the time i thought it was a bad move as they were in effect sticking two fingers up at GB owners.

The Last Blade- This is the best fighter on the NGPC. I like it just a little bit more than SNK VS Capcom. Theres a ton of replay value as you can unlock characters and buy story related information. This game is amazing. I can't believe how well the team that made it translated this amazing game to the NGPC.

King of Fighters R2- Get it. Get it now.

Card Fighters Clash(SNK Version, Capcom Version) and Card Fighters Clash Expand if you can find it- This is one of the best games that the NGPC has to offer, and the replay value by far beats anything else, because every game is so different. Plus card collecting becomes a obssession.

Samurai Shodown 2- Pocket Hanzo!

Metal Slug First and Second Mission- Good conversion of this game. If the arcade version of this series kills all the competition, this port seriously kicks the competition's ass. Then sleeps with their mothers.
