Ogre Battle

Is Ogre Battle playable without speaking japanese???
I am asking because I can get one cheap but don't know if will be able to play it.

There are many severe problems with not knowing the language used in an Ogre Battle game.

The different paths you take depend on the responses you make and who lives, who dies, who you accept on your team and who you reject.

In any OB/TO game, you are often told where to go to getwhat when multiple paths occur.

Regarding the lack of an English release of this game, I am put off.
