This game is cool indeed, although it's too bad it doesn't have more modes and characters.

And it's also too bad you can't link a Jap one with an English one. :\

Cre$u$: "comic" doesn't have the same meaning in French than in English... :p

I love Gals Fighters. The Japanese version also has some funny quotations when you pull off desperation moves, like when Athena pulls off Kensou's desperation moves, she goes:

"Nikuman ya! Nante ne"
(Normally Kensou just goes 'Nikuman ya!', but Athena appends 'Nante ne' meaning 'or something like that)
then she says 'Gochisou sama' (Thanks for the meal, Japanese grace)

I love this game. It's almost a King of Fighters R-3, all the cancelable specials are in there, fast as heck and funny as hell. Plus they redrew a lot of sprites, even composed original music, it's so awesome it makes my sex fall out.

By the way I have a review for Gals Fighters.

lol
Well they redrew some frames (like for attacks and specials), but not everything...
Like Mai's fighting stance is still the same good old one since KoF R-1.

By the way, I read your review earlier, it's cool...

Doesn't it? I took the comment to be as in "comical" which would make sense with the general over the top style of the game.

Obviously, my french isn't up to much, is there some hidden meaning that I should know about? Enquiring minds and all that wink

Cheers
Chris

Comical would do indeed...

But comique!=comic

There's not much more behind that, let's get back on topic. :p

This may be a bit off topic, but since we were talking about Gal Fighters and I hear how bloody great this game is, I was wondering if anybody knew where I could buy a complete U.S. one? Or maybe I should get the Japanese one available here? Thanks for the advice ahead of time.

lol Run-on sentence!!

The reason to recommend the Japanese one over the English one is the quotations on the bottom of the screen that appear briefly when you pull off the desperation moves and the pretty bursts. For some reason they never bothered to translate them for the English version, but they are all pretty funny if you can understand the Japanese.

Example:
Miss X Ura 108 Shiki: Sono mama shine...de gozaimasu koto yo! (Miss X's famous 'Die!' quotation, but she appends a polite keigo finish because she's a female, and supposed to be gentle and polite)
Miss X Ya Otome: Itadakimasu! (Whips out his fork and knife, then says 'Dinner time!')
Then as he tears away at his opponent, he goes, 'Konna mono de, kueru no ka!', which means 'How is someone like you edible!' (This is a pun on Krizalid's winning quotation, 'Konna mono de, katteru no ka!', which means, how did someone the likes of you win?')
Miss X Ura 301 Shiki: Iku wa yo! (When Miss X is Iori, he goes 'Iku zo!', which is the male pattern of speech, 'Iku wa yo!' is the female manner of speech)

This is just one example. Because these were taken out of the English version, the faqs don't cover these. In any case, you read it here first ^_^

Evolution - Eternal Dungeons
Magical Drop Pocket
Metal Slug 2nd Mission
Puzzle Link
Puzzle Link 2

Jap :

Big Bang Pro Wrestling

That's about it, although a few other games might interest me...
I can add money if the game traded is more valuable than Gals Fighters, and vice versa.

I wouldn't trade a Gals Fighters for a Cool Cool Jam without getting money in the deal, anyway...

And I can get a Cool Cool Jam for $35... I think Gals Fighters is worth more than that.

Hmmm... I've got all 3 secret characters and all the items... Except maybe the pearl earrings, I heard about those on the net but was never able to get them.

No way to reset the memory, although I can think of a way around it... Because I could get another Gals Fighters cart instead, but I don't know what's unlocked in it and all... I'll have to see...

As for the game, I'd say it's worth around 50$... Maybe a little less but I know people who'd pay for more.
My copy is in excellent condition, complete and all...

For your Cool Cool Jam, I'd ask you to add $15... (I'm a bit perplexed about that game, seeing you got it recently, asked for bok to translate stuff for you etc, and now you want to get rid of it... :p )

hehe, i found a good resource for that game wink and I haven't played it so much, because the japanese text is really dizzy for the fun-factor :( so I'm gonna buy it again, if I'll have the chance. I'm checking that at the moment :D I'll let you know ...

PEACE

If you plan to get it from cth, I'd prefer you to get Poke Kun from him instead...
$10 more expensive, but in return I won't ask you to add money for the trade. :p
