What Are The Differences Between KOF R-1/R-2 and Samurai Shodown! 1/2?

The title says all. What are the major differences (if any) between King of Fighters R1 and R2, and Samurai Shodown! 1 and Samurai Shodown! 2? Just wondering, since I'm considering getting these titles.

Major difference?

All I know is KOF R1 have better chars roster than KOF R2, R1 has Kim and Orochi, R2 has Rugal.

KOF R1 is black and white, and based on KOF 97

KOF R2 is colour, and based on KOF98..

I heard that Samsho is colored,if you play it on a NGPC,but i can`t confirm that..

Samsho:Based on Samurai Showdown 4
Samsho2:Based on Samurai Showdown64II:Warriors Rage

Hi

If you can get over the fact that it is in black and white I really do think that KOF R1 is the better game. Certainly if you have tried KOF R2 and enjoyed it, get KOF R1 because it really is a great game!

SS1 is coloured if played on NGPC, just not "as" coloured as SS2.

Somehow though, the lesser colouring really looks good, giving it an almost deliberate "cell shaded" look, and distinguishing the foreground from the background in a way that looks so good it is almost better than the fulll colouring in SS2. IMHO.

I'm inclined to agree, I haven't picked up R1 or R2 for ages since I started getting into samsho2...

Back on topic, I think R1 is a little harder than R2, and it's lack of colour is no issue at all.
