Did SNK ever pull a 'Nintendo' or 'Bandai'? Well what I mean is, Nintendo made games specifically for play on GBC, but those games did not play on the GBP or GB. Likewise with Bandai. So I'm wondering, did SNK ever do this? With the few games I have, they all work on my NGP and NGPC

Why would you want to play on an old NGP? A few of the early games ran in B and W too, but the later ones were color only.

MOTM cycles through nice artwork and plays you a little song when politely reminding you that it cannot be used with the NGP. Li Xiang Fei loving an alien from Metal Slug 2 is funny.

I think some other color only titles give you treats too...

I've got both. I was just curious as to if SNK followed suit

Gals Fighters is NGPC only, too.

Besides tha crappy display of the NGP :(

I'm pretty sure everything Metal Slug: Second Mission and up will only run on the NGPC.

Sonic(59) is the first color only game (MS2 is 61), many games after this are also color only, but with some exceptions:
Card Fighters Clash(67), Dive Alert(88), Faselei!(90) and Cotton(105) are all post Sonic and all support B&W.

Evolution is marked as color only, but does work on B&W...

The reason they wont run is that they use the enhanced colour pallete. I think. Actually, I'm just assuming here...

probably.

can't a NGPC address more ROM than a NGP also?

(32mbits vs 16mbits)

not sure about that one.
