Word is that the slimlines are 13% smaller. When playing a slimline, it's noticeably smaller and smoother in your hands. Just kinda fits there. If you want a generic description, just picture the regular NGPC without that little ridge around the whole unit and with rounded/tapered undersides at the battery compartments. The screen lens is actually a different size as well, but the screen is the same.
