Thinking about buying a Neo Pocket Color...

I've been offered a Neo Geo Pocket Color new in box and I would like to know a fair price for it. It is the light blue system, and comes in a minty white box with red letters on it.

Funny you should mention that type of box. I was looking around on eBay and came across a couple auctions that had new NGPC's for sale with these types of boxes included (<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3010536821&category=4315" target="_blank">here</a> and <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3009413981&category=187" target="_blank">here</a>).

Are these boxes official SNK? They don't look it, and neither do the instructions. I have to say, I do rather like the box design though. Very minimalistic.

As I understand it, they were prizes given out at Pachinko stores when Aruze had SNK as one of their properties. There was some old thread regarding the authenticity of these items, and the conclusion was that yes, they are authentic, but the game 'Dai Hanabi' is unanimously declared to be terrible.

So they are legit. And a fair price for one brand new one? 45 USD?

i would say thats very reasonable

the store i get most of my stuff from has got a new bunch of new systems in and they are asking £30 for them (basically half price from new rrp)

which is more or less 46usd

i would get one mate - i just got one and i am so impressed by the little bugger
