I just got a Neo Turf Masters, some of the text of the box (clamshell) is Spanish, other is French and other is English... I haven`t opened it yet so I`m not too sure about the manual (I`ve been told the game plays in English). Are these kind of carts rare to come by? (just wondering)

I think its common under the UK Neo Geo Pocket Color games, some of my games are like that, for example:

Neo Geo Cup 98 PLUS Color
Pocket Tennis Color
Metal Slug 1st Mission

Languages: English, German and Italian. My Neo Turf Masters is written fully in english tough. I'm not sure what games boxes are in multiple languages, but I think SNK pretty much made a mess out of it, since many games are in so many different versions. I wouldn't consider it rare tough.

All my games had more manuals, each in one (in this case; Italian and German) and ofcource a english one. I think its pretty cool to have so many manuals for one game :) Didn't you had an english one??

Most of the 14 launch titles had three language variations, and three manuals within.

In some cases retailers or suppliers may have chosen to remove the manuals that were not relevant to the country of sale.

SNK Europe’s efforts seem to have been substantially less when they started releasing titles post launch as the insert translations were missing as were the manual variations.

It looks like there was a shift between SNK Europe handling the packaging, back to the SNK international department in Osaka, who had always handled such matters in the past.

Weirdly, Neo Turf Masters, is not one of the games that I have seen in the multiple cover/manual version!
Both mine and My mrs copies are the single variant.

Its a strange scenario that there is this variation, between prints of the same game!

Even more so when as The Moog says, sometimes they even remove the extra manuals!
Talk about cost cutting!
My mrs copy of FF 1st came with only the English manual!

There are still some unanswered questions about our little handheld buddy!

Its good that as a community we are trying to get all the answers before it all gets forgotten!

We should all hassle Shawn to start a NEO trivia page!

I should imagine that when SNK stopped including extra manuals and re-designing the inserts properly (rather than just translating them to English) that was a cost cutting measure on their part.

My copy of Turf Masters is also missing the two extra manuals and insert translations, as is Pocket Tennis Color and the launch casino games.
