Hey guys, does anyone here know a good resource to buy some games w/ clamshell casings? The Neo store doesnt have many and eBay is like a f'n wasteland for boxes of ANY kind nowadays. Any leads would be much appreciated.

First off, the term clamshell has been driving me nuts lately...a clam is something you eat, a neo pocket case isn't.

Anyway, finding snap cases/hard case games isn't too hard...Do you want UK games or Japanese ones?

Clamshell is astandard merchandizing term for cases like the Neo Pocket UK games use. It generally pertains to video cases (e.g. Disney clamshell cases for their videos) but really translates to any such case.

Snaplock seems more descriptive, but clamshell, hate it or not, is valid given industry lingo.

So what.

These aren't stupid video cases, they're ngpc cases.

Clamshell = stupid.
hard case/snap case = yes

For some reason, the term clamshell, really really irritates me annoyed

Well, the fact of the matter is, one uses whichever term the other party will better picture the item in his head. No one likes to use the word 'Japanimation' nowadays, especially not hardcore anime fans, but when John O'Donnell was first introducing Anime to America, the media would always ask how to spell Anime, they didn't understand what the term meant, and lots of confusion ensued, so John just gave up and said 'It's Japanimation' and the reporters would go 'Ohhhhhh.' As long as it's understood I think it's ok. I mean, clamshell isn't exactly non-PC or anything, or derogatory.
