MOTM US is going $51 a pop:
<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3008576831&category=4315" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3008576831&category=4315</a>

Metal Slug 1 (cart only) is going $31:
<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3008212336&category=187" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3008212336&category=187</a>

WTF is going on? I knew prices are rising, but did I miss something? Why the HUGE increase in prices? I mean, I bought MOTM for $21 complete just last November. Man, I'm very tempted to sell my collection...but no, I can't live without MOTM, SS2, CFC, and GF. Still, the dark side beckons...

I know what you mean...I'd wanna sell my neo pocket collection for huge profits, but I'm not sure I could live without it. Of course, I could just invest in anime and console games, but I really should sell for profits. I dunno...

I have a fierce attachment to my NGPC and games, but it can only go so far. I mean $50 is alot of money...money to go towards saturn games, maybe other NGPC games, and such. I'm not interested in selling my collection just yet, but if MOTM starts going $70+, I'm not so sure.

You should see Ebay UK's prices!!! They are taking the piss! £100 for a Neo and 3 games? Pffft I paid £40 for a similar deal back in the summer! £25 for KOF R2, the most common cart? RAPE! I paid £4.99 for it out of Gamestation! Now i sold half of my collection afew months back but kept the ones i Need (FF:FC, KOFR1 and 2, MOTM and CFC:SNK) I dread to think what i would have to cop otu for these titles now!

Thats why we should buy and sell among ourselves for a while until people calm down and loose interest. After a while, they have to realize that they arent going to be able to re-sell this stuff for a large profit.

Yeah, I don't know what the resurgent interest in Neo Geo Pocket Color games is. Some games still won't command that high a price, but I remember I sold a SNK Vs. Capcom Card Fighters Clash 7 months ago and it barely fetched 25, now it's fetching 41? Sheesh, has the world gone mad?

Yeah, the prices are going up pretty rapidly, but there are several factors influencing this, including the Edge article. BUT, don't expect it to die down that much. Like several of us have stated in these forums, we should sell due to the high prices. But how many do, even now knowing the market is hot? How many people do you know who get a NGPC and think it sucks then sell it?? That is why the market will continue to be good, because the system and games are great and no one wants to sell them.

What happens typically on eBay is that the price goes up and then someone wanting to get the game does a "Completed items" search, sees MOTM selling for $51 and thinks that is the going rate, then pays $55 thinking they got a hot game (which it is). Of course, we, the long timers know what it used to cost and we're shocked people pay that.

All I can say is, enjoy the ride. Our little handheld buddy has grown up and everyone's taken notice....

I'm going to probably try the games that I bought once I get them. If not, then I'll just resell and go into sega cd like I've always wanted...

Guys have no worries!

Ill bring up the example of Rez LE with trance vibrator. This special edition of rez sold in japan and was easily avaliable for 60-70 usd. Then all the sudden last month they started selling for upwards of 300. Now they are back at 60-70 usd.

Although the ngpc will not have such a drastic boom and bust pattern, prices will eventually steady out.

I still can't decide whether to sell or not. I want anime and SCD stuff, but I'm not sure. I'll just wait till I get my games. God I get too ahead of myself...

Well, finally I got a copy of MotM on ebay. I won it at $32 so either it hasn't gone up, or I was lucky.

i hope the market doesnt keep going up.
i really like the idea of the NEOGEOpocket being
ascessible to everyone.
its one of the side reasons why the NGp was made
in the first place.

How lucky I am now, that I'm only collect US-Versions  But anyway, also on german eBay the prices are rising ... I bought my Metal Slug 2nd Mission US new shrinkwrapped for 50$ here in this forum (thanx again bokmeow  ) and I saw it selling on ebay.de for 60 € and it was pretty used, also a Clamshell version (UK) Metal Slug 2nd mission was gone over 70 € ... I think there are too many motherfuXXers with too much money out there very_ang
