Alright, people are gonna be really fired up about this one. But, it should make for interesting fodder.
What's the final price (£ or $) gonna be for the 39 UK collection on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3007755977)? Closest gets a firm handshake, pat on the back, and 50 copies of Pocket Reversi US wink

If I ever meet the winner, the firm handshake is a definite. The pat on the back if you're lucky.

Oh, and my prediction, £1400 or $2200. I think the bulk price should come in under the some of the parts.

I heard the seller say that it's way over 1200 pounds sterling in one of the posts, so I can bet that it'll be around 2500$

Depending on were you get them, the cost would be between £1000 and £1300 individually..... at a rough guess. wink

we should have a hot chick go over to his house, and 'distract' him while we all go in and steal all the games. BTW, it was my idea, so I get all of the games, but you are still welcome to help in the robbery :D

all the fun with collecting is in the hunt

As you know, I'm the seller and it's not as high as I hoped it would be at this stage.. It's not just the cost of the games you have to consider it's the time it's taken me to collect this lot. It has taken me well over a year and Pocket Reversi was a nightmare to get hold of and set me back over £130 as you well know rude kid wink Oh' and less of this shilling nonsense, as I have said on previous post the bidders identities are protected to stop other sellers contacting them offering goods at a cheaper price hence having a damaging effect on my auction.. BTW I wish you lot would wish me some luck in selling this collection for a decent price; as hopefully you'll all benefit if you ever decide to sell yours buttrock

I do certainly wish you luck. glee

But you do have to look at the facts, most people purchasiing this collection will either be splitting it up for resale, or have a very small collection in the first place. Therefore, i doubt that anyone will have a lot of games to offer any of the bidders.

As you said yourself, collections like this don't come up very often. Know one in the community uses Private Bidding anymore, simply because it could be used for Shill bidding. It is not be stated that you are, but your reason for using Private Bidding is at best a little misplaced.

It is also true that EBay are clamming down on people offering games to Buyers who have already placed bids on other items. You can now be banned for this.

I actually think you will get a lower price than you would have simply because you are going to put bidders off. Anyway, as i said, good luck, and we will see what happens.

I think it will go for about £1450 personally, simply because it is complete, although these days it could go for anything if a couple of people are desperate enough to get it. :D

It's the first time I've used a private auction, I didn't know people saw it like that, surely you can shill bid even when it isn't private? so whats the difference?

i wish you good luck as well

but the private auction has well warned me away from it - i make it a point never to bid on private auctions and if i decide that the price is still okay near the end i will snipe rather than cost myself more money by bidding against the seller or a friend of the seller

recently private auctions always go up to huge amounts because of the shill bid factor (not insinuating anything btw) and i also wonder why you are so paranoid about other ebayers offering cheaper items

in the past i have been sent link to other members auctions and thats because i buy alot of neo stuff - never been offered anything cheaper

It just makes it easier as know one at all can see who has bid. You are right, Shill bidding still occurs in normal bidding, but it is FAR easier to spot. We are not stating you are, just saying that you could.

You have got to also remember that the prices that the last collection went for (seperate auctions was only $2400 but all these games as far as i can remember were classed as brand new).

I do understand your point about a complete collection, but i have been dealing these games for a while now and i know i always get a better price selling individually. You may get lucky with the price, but as i said, we will see anyway, hope you get what you want..... wink

Hope you are well by the way Buster. :D Glad to have you on the Pocket scene, still got that TM Conversion?

Thank you for all the advice wink If it doesn't sell, I will definately be re-listing without a Private Auction or I may split the lot up. :)

i think splitting the auction up would be a better idea, it will be more work for you but you should end up making more money :)

Probably is happening right now.
That's a serious allegation, do you have anything to back this up or are you just shooting your mouth off?
