Most disappointing Neo Pocket game?

I'm not referring to the WORST game on the system, but a game that you purchased or spent a lot of time playing and just wasn't that great.

My vote goes for Baseball Stars Color. After playing the MVS versions like mad I was hoping for a great game. Instead I got a baseball game with broken A.I. and a huge amount of incorrect baseball rules.

Any thoughts?

I gotta go with Phoenix Down on Baseball Stars Color. I gave up after I realized that the computer would catch absolutely ANY fly ball hit. Kinda like the original Baseball for Gameboy.

Definately Tennis Pocket because I bought MOTM after SNK announced their pullout, but Toys R Us, only had one copy left...dammit display copy beat up box, oh well. Well I get home and the cart doesn't work. Shit. So I figured I'll return it and Get Tennnis, bad move, I expected Super Tennis quality fun, I got the easiest AI ever, shoulda sent my MOTM back to SNK and they woulda replaced the cart.

I'd have to agree that Baseball Stars is horrible and pretty much unplayable. The NES and AES versions are so much better. Although Neo Pro Yakyuu is a bit better, as is Dynamite Sluggaer. Some people think that Pocket Reversi is terrible, but it's not that bad accept for the difficult AI

I think puzzle link and puyo pop are kinda boring. Is it just me or are they too slow then at the end extremely hard?

Most disappointing game for me had to be Biomotor Unitron. It was way too repetitive and only if you could put up with the excessive random encounters would you be willing to go through the game to get all the secret items and the most powerful weapons to make the strongest Unitron ever. Needless to say, yours truly did that and he felt extremely guilty.

Dive Alert. Got it, with the assumption that I would get some decent gameplay and a good story. 5 minutes later I'm looking at the most unplayable piece of shit game evar!

Yeah yeah, Puyo Pop was one I got excited about, then realised the learning curve was way too steep once I had it.

Evolution also gets exceptionally dull after a while, and thats a real shame. frown

I guess it's a good thing I got those games for 10 each, I saw them at the gameshop and freaked. So I bought them both. they both sucked too... But at least I have some games I haven't beat 50 times yet. and I haven't even beat the last stage of puyo puyo on easy yet frown

Puyo Puyo 2 is ridiculously hard, I played the SNES counterpart and the AI is no way as hard as it is on the Neo Geo Pocket Color. No one sets up combos as amazing as the CPU on the NGPC, and that is a fact. I've played against a CPU that was on the verge of death, and when I eased up (not by choice, mind you) I got rained on by a 100+ Hard Puyo combo.

thanks for letting me know. I thought I just sucked really bad. But at least now I know the game is supposed to be impossible.

Most disappointing? Pac-man. I don't know what I expected from it, but I just don't like how hard it is.

BTW, Puyo Puyo is easily my most favorite puzzle game. I have beaten the NGPC version, and in my opinion, the Wonderswan version is the hardest (out of the ones I have played).

I was actually really dissapointed with Fatal Fury: 1st Contact. After playing KOF and MOTM, it seems very sluggish and awkward to play. I appreciate they wanted to make it play different from the other fighting games, but i just couldn't enjoy it as much as i love the Home Real Bout games.

Anyways, worst NGPC title? from my experience i would have to go with Neo Cherry Master. Boring boring boring!!!

Have you ever played Pac-man before?

It's suppose to be hard. :p

Pac-man on NGP is probably the best hand held version I have ever played (much better than the shit on gb).

Yeah, and the fact that they left out the best character in the whole series, DUCK KING!

I don't care what anyone says - my vote goes for KOFR2. After all the hype 'better than MOTM', all I saw was a bugged game that was inferior to the sequel in almost every way. Just because it's based around the best KOF, doesn't mean this is the best pocket version. KOFR1 all the way.

dive alert is very hard but I find this game very cool and tactic when you have time for play.
It's not like the others games, but I think it's as a faselei, with worst graphics but with a good story and original gameplay!

I'd have to agree with Huxley; I had MOTM first and after hearing from various people that R2 > MOTM, I got it expecting it to rival MOTM at least. Very jerky and in no way better than MOTM. At least NFT and Rugal was in there.
