My NGPC has a problem......

When I turned it on last night to play some more MOTM the thing turned it self off. Then when I turned it on again (I guess the time/clock battery is dead) it asked me for all that language and time stuff so I put it in and it reset itself! It then started loading the usual NGPC starting screen and after that it just gave an orange screen for 5 seconds and turned off again. I turned it on one more time and this time it just went to that menu with horoscopes and stuff like there was no game in it. I then tried Dynimite Slugger and it seemed to load fine didn't actually start playing just checked title screen. When I put MOTM back in again back to that horoscopes, clock menu thingy. I then turned it off turned it on again and it turned it self off! Is my MOTM cartridge fine? I'm going to be very angry if I lost almost 2 years worth of saves in MOTM. Do I just need to replace that battery and then it'll be fine? Please help.

yeah that happened for the 2nd part of my Neo pockets life. I found out that all it does is resets the clock battery. This is only the case when playing certian games, for me it was MS 1st mission, Sonic, and KOF R-2. Fr you it seems to be for MotM. It is the cartridge that causes the reset but its nothing to worry about, just an annoyence and it wont delete any of your data.

Great to hear! I got a little worried when the screen turned orange and MOTM wouldn'y turn on that perhaps that cartridge was screwed up but I feel better now. Well I'll go buy one of those clock batteries when I have a chance.

On a related note, anyone else here used a GBC power lead on a UK NGPC? Mine goes crazy! Orange screen, Flashing red battery light..... I thought it was gonna blow up <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Rain : I've tried that too! I remember the Power light was flashing non-stop.
Well, that's all I remember.
Sold my GBC thus I can't try it again.
