From what I've heard Telegames is the "Buyrite" of the UK. Stay away! :(

Do they mean jap/Cardboard and Jap/Clam?

Anyways....Yeah live dangerously!

Send T'games your hard earned cash and hope for the best!
LOL!
They'll just rip you for P&P and Order processing ;)
Then send you the Jap (Cardboard) one anyway!
In a jiffy bag.
Squashed flat.

Remember.
Friends don't let friends deal with Telegames! ;)

Ask Krauser or Rain or start a "Would you deal with Telegames.UK" post in unrelated.

Here, Here, Totally agree with Metal Slug. Charge you almost £5 on top for second class postage. Only buy from Telegames if REALLY Desperate. I came close to buying from them a few times, But managed to avoid it.

Telegames is an odd little company. For a company that has been in the games industry for so long and does so many different things in the industry (they publish, and I think develop games too) it's just bizzare how out of touch they are. When the Atari Jaguar was DEAD and you couldn't GIVE a copy of Tempest 2000 away for FREE they started publishing really crappy (compared to T 2000 anyway) games and charging silly prices. I remember buying a copy of Atari Karts in Beatties for £5 and looking at the Telegames site to compare prices. They wanted £75.

Did anyone see what they were showing at the ECTS? SOCCER KID for the GBA. WHAT?? That game wasn't even good 10 or so years ago on the Amiga.

I don't think Telegames are trying to rip you off, I think that they just don't have a clue. I went past the shop on my way home from Northampton this weekend and picked up a brand new UK Picture Puzzle for £29.99. Which is a pretty decent price I think. I'd probably pick it up a bit cheaper from someone on ebay, but it's more conveniant to just stop by a shop..

Telegames is odd.. Mastersystem games that were £25 back in the day are still £25. They don't seem to understand that things lose value. They had a PC-Engine LT behind the counter, I asked the price expecting something stupidly high. He said "We've got a brand new one and a near new one, 15 hundred for the new one, 13 hundred for the other". WHAT??? We just burst out laughing..
"Oh, but some of these older things are getting very rare you know! The price reflects that". Yes they're rare. Like £200 on Yahoo! Japan rare..

They're right out in the middle of nowhere they just don't know whats going on in the real world.

AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!

If they send you a card boxed copy they will NOT let you return it. They ripped me off with Pocket Reversi. They had it on the site as UK and sent me the JP version. I rung them up and was told I couldn't have a refund, but I could swap it for something else.

The only good thing I've had from them was a brand new Jaguar CD unit for a promo price of £80. I then sold my used one on ebay for about £100 :)

They are way Overpriced, totally unreliable, shit packaging, poor service, average product....... <img src="graemlins/veryangry.gif" border="0" alt="[Very Angry]" /> <img src="graemlins/blowtop.gif" border="0" alt="[Blow Top]" />

Dont get me started on Buyrite games equally poor! <img src="graemlins/veryangry.gif" border="0" alt="[Very Angry]" />

But you make up your own mind? <img src="graemlins/shame.gif" border="0" alt="[Shame]" />

Telegames is just NGF in the UK...but not with "corrected" inserts and stickers....I think. <img src="graemlins/loco.gif" border="0" alt="[Loco]" />

My telegames deal wasnt that bad. I was actually wrong about the insert being fake. rstreck pointed that out for me. Telegames takes FOREVER to ship though, if you dont have cataracts by the time the games arrive it isnt that bad.

However, the prices they have are jacked so far up, jacks changing his name.
BEWARE.

Hahah regret my ass. If they regretted it, they would drop that shit low. Remember the demon behind all the price jacks was craved morons on ebay. Take ebay out and there is nothing to blame.

Well.. nobody is going to sell something for much below what the last one sold for on ebay, because it would seem that that is it's market value. But in most cases, it is just 1 - 2 crazy/shill bidders.

Yeah, they overcharge but let's not get carried away. They are honest merchants. I've had several dealings with them and they have always resolved any problems even months later. There is one good think about their high prices - they often have some really rare stuff in stock new and sealed that you just can't find anywhere else. So if that's what you want you'll pay a hefty price but they have it unlike elsewhere. However, their website is shit as most of the items are out of stock and the price is *always* higher than the website price.

No! honest they are not.
They describe things as 'new' when they are used, used when they actually mean broken, they add 'hidden' charges to credit card transactions, they are slow, rude, and IMHO crooked scumbags.
Allegedly ;)

I got a UK Faselei off them in september when they were £49.99, it WAS brand new and took 2 days to come, sometimes they are slow, sure their website is outofdate but sometimes they are the only place to get stuff, i've only had one bad dealing with them over Pocket Reversi! told me was uk one, sent jap one, got crushed in post, i sent back, though i got my money back, they had the nerve to say it crushed in post when i sent it back to them! and let me off paying a £10 fee for returned damaged items!, just make sure before you buy the correct price, the right version, the right system, and ring up to make sure the hear what you want! lol

I thought there neogeo aes deal is pretty good. They sell you a new one for £175.00 pounds with a joystick & you get a game for 25 pound i think, but the game has to be an old one though, like baseball stars or magition lord. Sorry about the spelling on ml.
